Privacy Policy

Storms AI (“We”, “Us “, or “Our”) operates multiple websites and mobile applications providing content related to a range of topics and categories. These websites and mobile applications are available online and through application stores (the “Site” or the “App” and other related or linked sites to Us and together with our platform and services, the “Sites” or the “Apps”). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information we receive from users of the Sites. By using the Sites, you (“You”, “you” or “End-User”) agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information Collection and Use

We use the Information Data to provide various services to our partners related to advertising and marketing (a description of the types of services or tools we offer may be found throughout the Sites). The Information Data may be used for purposes such as:

  • Provide information and analytics to partners about the use of our services or tools or help our partners enhance their user profiles for marketing or analytics purposes;
  • Provide and improve our services and tools. This includes, for example, providing customer, technical, and operational support for these features, detecting and protecting against errors, fraud, or other criminal activity, resolving disputes, and enforcing our terms and conditions and other rights we may have. This may also include analyzing, customizing, and improving the features of our services;
  • Create inferences about End-Users categorized into “Group Segments” or help our partners do so. For example, if the information we collect indicates that You or Your End-User likes apps (or clicks on ads) about fishing, we may categorize You or Your End-User of that device as someone who is interested in fishing or outdoor sports;
  • Develop and use data models and algorithms that try to understand or predict potential future behavior and interests or predict common interests on a per-device basis or across devices;
  • Analyze ad performance, for example, by attributing app installations or mobile web visits to ad campaigns;
  • Match identities across multiple devices, such as IP address matches to allow us to link You or Your End-User across, for example, mobile browsers, mobile devices, tablets, set-top boxes, or other devices; and
  • Aggregate the Information Data to perform (including by working with our partners) any of the above functions, or other advertising, marketing, or analytics services.
  • We may also use the Information Data collected on the Sites to:
  • Send information about our products and services, including marketing communications;
  • Respond to your questions, concerns, or customer service inquiries or fulfill your requests;
  • Create aggregated or de-identified information;
  • Comply with applicable laws, prevent fraud, mitigate risk, and perform similar purposes; or
  • Understand usage trends and preferences and analyze, improve, and provide products and services.

We, and/or our partners, may deploy online cookies or other similar technologies (web beacons, SDK, Pixels, etc..) to track You or Your End-Users across mobile websites and/or apps, associate You or Your End-Users with Mobile IDs or perform other functions to more accurately target relevant ads to You or Your End-Users. We may also use the Information Data with other information provided by third-party data providers, to learn more about You or Your End-User's trends, behavior or activity in order to provide advertising and analytics services.

How We Share the Information We Collect

Generally, we share the Information Data with partners such as:

  • Partners and third parties and their marketing and service providers (to enable targeted content and advertising to You or Your End-Users on mobile websites and/or apps). For example, platforms that work directly with marketers (sometimes called demand-side platforms), analytics companies, data management platforms that help marketers maintain and use data, proximity solution providers, and other advertising technology providers. These companies may, for example, provide targeted content and advertising to You or Your End Users and others on third-party mobile websites and/or apps or other advertising media (such as email, direct mail, and display media);
  • Partners and their marketing and service providers, to help measure the effectiveness of marketing or analyze their end-users;

Even when You no longer access our services or tools, we may continue to use and share your information as described in herein.

The processes, purposes, and uses are generally known as “interest-based advertising.” We encourage individuals who are interested in controlling or learning about this type of advertising to go to the Digital Advertising Alliance’s (DAA’s) website at www.aboutads.info.

We use third-party advertising companies to serve ads when you visit our Sites. These companies may use aggregated information (not including your name, address, email address, or telephone number) about your visits to this and other websites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you. If you would like more information about this practice and to know your choices about not having this information used by these companies, please visit the following webpage: http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp

We may also share Information Data collected from our Sites or through the use of our services, tools, or products with third parties:

  • As provided by your consent, including through this policy.
  • Pursuant to a request or authorization by You or Your End-User or partner;
  • If the disclosure is provided to (a) comply in good faith with applicable laws, rules, regulations, governmental and quasi-governmental requests, court orders, or subpoenas, including for purposes of national security and law enforcement; (b) enforce our terms and conditions or other agreements; or (c) protect our, or any other person’s or entity’s, interests, rights, property, or safety, or in connection with an investigation of suspected or actual unlawful activity;
  • Where the information is aggregated or de-identified; or
  • As part of a business purchase, sale, merger, consolidation, investment, change in control, transfer of all or substantially all of our assets, reorganization or liquidation, bankruptcy, or in connection with steps taken in anticipation of such an event (e.g., due diligence).

It should be noted that while we work with many partners and companies in the provision of the services, tools, or products we offer, we do not control the activities of these other partners.

Privacy Opt-Out

Opting Out of Online Interest-Based Advertising

You can opt out of many of the platforms and service providers we work with that support online interest-based advertising by visiting the Digital Advertising Alliance’s consumer education and opt-out page at http://www.aboutads.info (or the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance’s opt-out page at http://www.youronlinechoices.eu if you are located in the European Union). This type of opt-out is cookie-based, which means that if you replace or upgrade your browser, or delete your cookies, you will need to opt-out again. Opting out in this way will not prevent you from receiving ads; rather, the ads you see will be less customized to you.

You may further opt out of providing information to us and through our collection of non-PII from cookies placed on your computer, by clicking on the following URL: http://clk.myiads.com/opt-out. By clicking this opt-out link, we will no longer collect non-PII information from your website or users. You may opt back in, by clicking on the following URL: http://clk.myiads.com/opt-in.

We and/or companies that we work with may sometimes use interest-based advertising for “cross-device” advertising. For instance, the mobile identifiers that we collect, and share may be used to try to connect user identities across different platforms, channels, and devices — such as by using a common IP address to “match” a user on a mobile device to a user on a browser. The above opt-out methods will in most cases opt your device out of browser-based online advertising.

Opting Out of Cross-App Advertising on Mobile Devices

You can opt out of having your Mobile IDs used for certain types of interest-based mobile advertising (also called “cross-app advertising”), including those performed by us, by accessing the settings on your Apple or Android mobile device, as follows:

  • Apple Devices: If you have an Apple device, you can opt out of most cross-app advertising by updating to iOS 6.0 or higher and enabling “Limit Ad Tracking.” (Specific Apple instructions may change – please refer to Apple instructions on how to opt-out).
  • iOS 7 and Higher: Go to Settings → Privacy → Advertising, and toggle “Limit Ad Tracking” to ‘ON.’
  • iOS 6: Go to Settings → General → About → Advertising, and toggle “Limit Ad Tracking” to ‘ON.’
  • Android Devices: If you have an Android device, you can opt out of most cross-app advertising by going to Google Settings → Ads, and selecting the option to opt out of interest-based ads. (Specific Android instructions may change – please refer to Android or Your device instructions on how to opt out).

Please note that the information listed above on how to change your mobile device settings is controlled and managed by these platforms and as such these instructions may change. Please refer to your operating system and check how to manage your settings on your device.

International Data Transfer

We transfer your Personal Information and other Information Data as described in this policy to the United States, where it is processed, collected, and stored using Amazon Web Services, Inc., (“AWS”) a subsidiary of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates and Google Cloud Services. The AWS Customer Agreement can be found here. The Google terms of service can be found here. If your data is collected in Europe, we will transfer your personal data subject to appropriate or suitable safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the Privacy Shield Framework.

With respect to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation 2016/679) ("GDPR"), the relevant parties agree to comply with all applicable laws and the Data Transfer Agreement (as available here) shall be incorporated into and shall be an integral part of this Agreement.

Regarding the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 ("CCPA"), the relevant parties agree to comply with all applicable laws concerning the collection and processing of California-based End-User data. The CCPA provides California residents with more information, access, and control over the information collected. Such information (as examples) according to the CCPA includes personal information (name, address, etc. but is also extended to include IP address, geo-location information). Inquiries about the data the company collects from California End-Users can be directed to information@storms.ai  (Attn: Privacy Officer).

We encourage California End-Users to understand their rights protected under CCPA and additional information can be found here

Furthermore, our properties’ disclosure and removal policies regarding any software installed on a user’s computer or other electronic device should be clear and concise. We contractually require that our publishers and affiliates maintain, on each of the properties, a privacy statement that (a) discloses the use of third-party advertising companies to serve ads on their property(s), which may, directly or indirectly, collect or use information about user visits to websites to display advertisements more tailored to users’ interests, and (b) includes language to the following effect:  “If a user wishes to know more about this practice or would like to know more about his/her options, the user can visit the Network Advertising Initiative (“NAI”) web-site:  or other similar industry associations for additional details.  The NAI is a cooperative of online advertising companies who are committed to responsible practices and consumer protection.”

Voice Data

In addition to the other forms of personally identifiable information collected and used by us, certain of our partners engage in audio interchange with users, often in the context of audio or audio-visual advertisements.  Voice and device data are collected as a part of this interaction and are saved along with other transactional information to process requests during that interaction and otherwise fulfill the objectives of the interaction.  Such voice and device data may be saved by us, or our partners for the period in which the transactions are processed and completed, and such additional time as required for legal compliance, after which time the personally identifiable information associated with such voice and device data shall be deleted.  After the processing of collected voice data, voice data shall be anonymized and used by us, certain of our partners, to enhance voice interaction software

Children

Our products and services are not designed for or directed at children. We do not create segments to specifically target anyone under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from them. If we become aware that we have inadvertently received information from a child under the age of 13, we will take all appropriate steps to delete such information from our records. We do not knowingly "sell" as defined by the CCPA the personal information of minors under 16 years old who are California residents without their affirmative authorization.

Data Security and Retention

We have industry-standard physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to make sure information is collected, processed, and shared only in accordance with this Policy. Once you uninstall or opt out, all tracking technologies, including cookies, should expire within 2 days. No security measures, however thorough, are perfect and there can be no absolute assurance of security. Therefore, we cannot and do not offer an absolute guarantee or warrant the security of the information we possess.

However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Site.

Security

The security of your Personal Information is important to us but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
