Anna Cockrell was raised in a sports-oriented family. Her father, Keith Cockrell, was a football player, and her mother, Serena, was a successful sprinter. Growing up in Charlotte, North Carolina, Anna was introduced to track and field at a young age and quickly demonstrated her talent in sprinting and hurdling events.
She attended Providence Day School in Charlotte, where she was a standout athlete. Anna's exceptional high school career included multiple state championships and All-American honors.
