Throughout her career, Wielgosz has dominated numerous local, national, and international competitions.
Her victories include a gold medal at the European Championships, multiple national titles, and an impressive performance at the World Championships where she finished among the top ten. Her personal bests are no less impressive. In the half-marathon, she has clocked a phenomenal sub-70 minutes, a testament to her exceptional speed and endurance.
Furthermore, in the marathon, she has consistently achieved times under 2:30 hours, placing her among the world's elite runners. However, Wielgosz's journey hasn't been without obstacles. She faced significant setbacks and injuries that threatened to end her career prematurely.
In 2010, she suffered a substantial injury that kept her away from the tracks for nearly a year. But, true to her resilient spirit, she returned stronger and more determined, clinching a silver medal at the National Championships in her comeback year. Her endurance and strength were further tested in 2014 when she faced another serious injury. This time, doctors doubted whether she would ever run again. But Wielgosz refused to accept defeat. After grueling months of rehabilitation, she made a miraculous return to the sport she loved.
