Marileidy Paulino, born on October 25, 1996, in Nizao, Peravia, Dominican Republic, is a world-renowned sprinter specializing in the 400 meters.
She made history by winning two silver medals at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, becoming the first Dominican woman to earn an individual Olympic medal in athletics.
Marileidy continued her success by winning gold in the 400 meters at the 2023 World Championships in Budapest and setting a national record of 48.76 seconds. She has also achieved success in the Pan American Games and the Central American and Caribbean Games, establishing herself as one of the top sprinters globally.
