Grant Fisher was born on April 22, 1997, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, before moving to the United States. Raised in Grand Blanc, Michigan, Fisher displayed a natural talent for running from a young age. He attended Grand Blanc High School, where he quickly rose to prominence as one of the top high school distance runners in the country.Fisher's high school career was marked by numerous accolades and record-breaking performances. He won back-to-back Foot Locker Cross Country National Championships in 2013 and 2014, becoming only the seventh male athlete to achieve this feat.
His dominance extended to the track, where he ran impressive times in the mile and two-mile events. Fisher's high school personal bests included a mile time of 4:00.28 and a two-mile time of 8:43.57.After graduating from high school, Fisher attended Stanford University, where he continued to excel in both cross country and track. As a member of the Stanford Cardinal, Fisher earned multiple All-American honors and won several NCAA titles.
